Idiot Savant was formed on May 1st 2006 by a group of like minded individuals who shared a strong desire to create a guild that would stand out amongst the mundane masses. The goal was simple: create a tight-knit high caliber competitive guild that exudes a ridiculous amount of style. We feel that we have accomplished this goal, and continue to refine our vision as time goes on.
At our core we are comprised of members who boast a very robust and varied background in competitive gaming. From MMOs such as Ultima Online and World of Warcraft, to CAL-I clan matches, and even local Street Fighter tourneys; all of our members are quite competent when it comes to competition. We are a laid back bunch yet we are highly competitive. We fully comprehend the various mechanics and nuances of the game and fully utilize them in order to dominate the opposition. We enjoy winning; and while the occasional loss is inevitable they are something we generally like to avoid. However, with that said, we treat the game as an enjoyable hobby and not as a job. In the end, when all is said and done, our main goal is to have fun; committing digital genocide along the way is just a perk.
Guild Ranks in Idiot Savant are superficial at best, as the success of this guild is built upon the cooperation and contributions of every single member. Nevertheless there are those who wish to have slightly more responsibilities, and thus, ranks are born. Officers are put into place to help keep things organized and maintain order, nothing more and nothing less. In Idiot Savant everyone is on equal footing with one another. One player's voice, opinions, or needs will never overshadow those of another.

• Through unity comes victory. People share different opinions, beliefs, as well as view points; no one will agree with anyone all of the time, it's a fact of life. With that said, we at Idiot Savant like to keep drama levels to nonexistent. Please respect, be friendly to, and help out your fellow Savants whenever possible.
• Reputation is everything; do not expect to receive respect if you cannot give it. Always keep in mind that whenever you log in you are a representative of the Idiot collective. Every action you make, every line of text you type, and every word you speak reflects the guild as a whole.
• Idiot Savant is interested in players who are competitive in nature and share our love of Player versus Player gameplay. We strive to be the best at PvP combat and thus we are looking for people who are fast thinkers, excellent tacticians, and generally good at melting faces.
• You must be able to get along and work with our members.
• You must have the most recent version of Ventrilo and a microphone as well as being willing to use these tools.
• We are interested in members who participate, share ideas, post on the forums, and are all around active within our small community. Dedication is a must.
• Applicants must reside in North America.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
